Dog Story: Hello Senor, Senora and Senorita, my name is Bruno and I come from Spain where they put me on a plane to fly many hours across the ocean. Next I rode in many cars and after three days of travel, I landed in West Virginia. And you know it is ‘Almost Heaven’. You see, I was found in a garbage can in Spain; I was hungry; I was scared; I was lonely. But when I arrived in ‘heaven’, there was a bed for me to sleep in, plenty of food to eat, lots of long walks and more love than I thought possible. Now you know why I think this is ‘almost heaven’. I am a French Brittany, about 5 months old. My foster mom tells me I am a special boy! I love to play fetch (and I bring it back so you will throw it again). Potty training is a work in progress; my foster mom says I am learning very fast. I will sit for my food but I get excited when the treat bag is opened so sometimes I forget to sit for my treats, but I will learn. My mom says I am a smart boy. I sleep all night very quietly in my crate. For that my mom tells me I am a good boy. When I am not eating, sleeping, going potty or playing, I love to cuddle with my humans. My mom tells me I am a very sweet boy. I ride well in a car. I am a little shy when you first meet me but warm up quickly. Because I am a puppy, I still have lots to learn. But if you want a special, smart, good and sweet boy, I am just waiting for you to give me my furever home. And when you do, I will give you lots of puppy kisses! Bruno was found in a trash can on the streets of Spain, so we do not know anything about him before he came to ABR. He is now up to date on vaccinations, leishmania and heartworm negative, on HW and flea-tick preventative, and microchipped. Due to his young age at 5 months old, Bruno has not yet been neutered; potential adopters must agree to have Bruno altered at the appropriate age, with a refundable spay/neuter deposit. If you are interested in this wonderful little boy, please submit anadoption applicationand mention Bruno-5661. The adoption fee for international rescues is $450.
