Hello everyone, I’m Xena, a beautiful 4.5 yr old 34 lb Black and White French Brittany.

My favorite activity is going full speed for 45 minutes running in the fields by my foster parents home. I’m always checking for squirrels and birds. I am very prompt at being by my fosters dad bedside at 6:30 every morning as I don’t want him to forget that we need to start our day of fun and activites.

I only need a whistle when out in the fields to keep me in check when I’m off leash. I truly enjoy the freedom and what’s really nice is my foster parents have a doggie door and I can run right out into a nice large fenced backyard which I really enjoy.

Every day, around noon, my foster dad works with me on training. He doesn’t want me to get rusty with everything I have already learned. I actually enjoy it. I also really love to play fetch and catching tennis balls. Then when the afternoon rolls around, I’m ready for another brisk run or walk.

Can you tell I have a lot of energy to burn?

Come evening, I’m ready to lounge on the couch or in my kennel next to my foster parents bed when they go to sleep at night.

I do have a bit of anxeity when my foster parents leave for long periods of time, I handle it, but would really love it if someone was home most of the day.

My perfect home would be one where I could be the only dog, don’t get me wrong, I’m okay around other dogs, I just don’t need them to be happy. Older kids (teenager age range) I’m good with, but not little ones. If you can give me a great home where I can continue my runs/walks and to feel loved, I would be the happiest girl on earth! If you feel you can provide me this, please complete the online application and mention my name and ID number. My foster parents will be happy to tell you more about me! I’m UTD on vaccines and H/W negative.

HISTORY:

Xena is an owner surrender here in TX. The prior owners could not afford to care for me as they had a baby and only 1 income. I had stomach issues which didn’t help either. That has all but gone away with a proper diet and omega fatty acid oils. If she drinks too much water, she can reguritate.
