Be my Brittany Buddy please! Please help ABR with my expenses for my flight from Hawaii to Oregon. Kea says Aloha! That’s Hawaiian for hello. I know that because that is where I started my journey. I just moved to Oregon and I am loving life as a family member. My mom made this really cute coat for me. I wear it most of the time ‘cuz I am always cold. It is never this cold in Hawaii but I am adjusting and by next winter I will be just fine. I am very inquisitive about my new home especially these feathery things called quail. I think I would like to be a hunting dog if someone has the patience and soft touch to teach me. I like my cave (crate) for my private moments and I am learning to enjoy my meals. It is really nice to know I don’t have to share it or no one is going to take it from me. I like playing with my foster siblings, having a fur brother or sister might be nice. Most of all, I would like a family to love me, cuddle me, not use a loud voice with me, and play with me. Is that you? Foster mom says – Kea is adjusting wonderfully to living on the main land. She gets along great with everyone, both human and canine. She’s learning her name and to sit. She likes to be held and snuggled. She is very inquisitive, likes her crate, and has learned to use the doggy door. She’s very soft and a change in tone is enough to correct an action. She wants to explore and could possibly be an escape artist if she figured out she could leave. She is searching for someone to trust but isn’t needy. She’s good with being crated and good with the other dogs. She has started playing with them and it is fun to watch her come out of her shell. She would do best where she doesn’t have to compete too much for attention. She loves to play so a second dog might be good but more than that she gets lost in the crowd. If Kea would be perfect for your family please fill out the online adoption applicationand mention Kea. Kea was a night drop at the shelter on the big island of Hawaii. It appears she has been bred many times in her short life. Her teeth are a little worn from outdoor kennel living but otherwise in good shape. She has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations and is on heartworm, flea, and tick preventative.m
