Tristan is a true sweetheart through and through. He’s a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart full of love and a curious mind. He’s working on this manners, but his intelligence and food motivation make him a fantastic candidate for ongoing training. His foster family is even investing in a training boot camp to help him shine in his forever home. Tristan is currently enrolled in charm school He works on leash walking, polite greetings and resisting the temptation to counter surf. There’s no doubt he’ll graduate with honors by the end of his program. His forever family will need to continue reinforcing all the good habits he is learning.

Tristan loves outdoor adventures, whether it’s a morning walk, a weekend hike, or just sniffing around the yard. He’s a great running buddy and loves going on runs with foster dad. Tristan is working on his confidence, so he prefers smaller group play at day care or dog parks. He’s also adjusted very well to living with with our male dog. They love going on walks together. We have not seen him interact with cats, so we recommend a no cat household. After a fun day of activities, Tristan loves unwinding with his people, soaking up pets, scratches and couch cuddles. He’s shown a calm and gentle demeanor around children, but he has not lived with any. As he’s been displaced a couple of times, he gets very concerned of being left out. Once comfortable he settles nicely into his crate . His trainer describes him with having a touch of “FOMO”. He loves to be part of the action.

If you are looking for a family dog or an active adventure buddy, Tristan is ready to be your perfect match. Given this guy’s history we are not considering long distance or sight unseen adoptions for this boy. We require a physical meet and greet (canines and humans) to assure we have a good match.

Tristan is micro chipped, up to date on vaccinations, HW tested negative and on preventative. He came into rescue as surrender from a good Samaritan. He was adopted by a wonderful person only to have his Dad unexpected pass away. He was taken in by the deceased owner’s family who are committed to foster Tristan until the perfect forever family finds him. Could that be you? If you are interested in Tristan, please complete the adoption application.
