Adopted!!!
Toby is a four year old male with energy to burn! Found a
year ago emaciated in the woods, Toby was brought into a home who tried to find
his previous owner with no luck. He had no microchip and had not been neutered,
and after months of searching for clues to his background Toby’s family
determined he would stay with them.Recently Toby’s family contacted ABR to ask for help finding
him a home that is suited to his needs to run, expend his boundless energy and
give him the attention he so badly craves. His family wrote:Toby is a fantastic dog with so much personality and energy.
He is super affectionate with both of us. He
quickly learned to use our doggy doors and is fully house trained. He gets
along well with our two dogs, (one medium and one small), is nonchalant with
cats and is always eager to play. He loves to run, ride in the car, take baths
or showers, be brushed, destroy dog toys, and no amount of head rubbing or ear
scratching is too much, he LOVES human contact! Toby does well with children but can be timid at first. Once they’ve let him grow comfortable he is happy to approach them.Toby will require a home with experience of high-energy dogs
with outlets to exercise. He makes an excellent guard dog as he doesn’t
just let anyone in the door without you knowing it and even when they are in
the door, he’s going to let you know about them! Our hope is that he finds a home where he can stretch his formidable
legs, expend his near limitless energy, and be loved as much as we’ve grown
to love him!—
Toby is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and on
preventative. He is currently living with the family who found him. They have
asked ABR to help find his forever home. If you’re interested in Toby, please
complete an adoption application and contact the volunteers listed to the left
of his bio, who will handle all adoption proceedings on behalf of Toby’s
family.
