Adopted!!!
Meet Sweets! Her name is very fitting as she is so sweet! She wants to be a lap dog and live inside. She jumps up gently with her two front paws because she wants you to scratch her under her front arms. She also likes it if you lean down and hug her when she is like this. She can be a bit bossy and would be best as an only dog. She is not aggressive at all. She just steals ALL their toys and barks at them if they try to get them back. She thinks she is a princess and that she should have everything, so we are going to try and make that happen. She loves stuffed animals and will drag them into her kennel with her. In fact, there is sometimes no space left for her.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, has been microchipped. She has an appointment for a HW recheck and has been on heartworm medication.
We do not know much about her background. She was found wandering in Kansas, and someone brought her into a local vet. She had been shot at some point. The vet was going to put her to sleep if they didn’t find a home quickly, which is where we came in. We picked her up in Kansas, brought her to Nebraska with us and let her recover. She has physically healed from the ordeal and has no scars from the incident, but she is gun shy and will not hunt. She will not be good with cats as she does still have prey drive. Also, no young children as she thinks everyone wants her to ‘hug’ them and that could knock a small child over.
