Adopted!!!

Such a pretty girl, that is Sierra. She is a trained show dog, and has some great commands: sit, down, up, shake, back, wait, go ahead. She is housebroken, crate trained, and up to date on her shots.

Sierra’s story is a rather sad one. Her owner loved her dearly, but passed away. Friends took her in, but they were not dog people, and taking on a Brittany, even a senior Brittany was way out of their comfort zone. Luckily they reached out to ABR to help.

Sierra is a people dog. She is well behaved around people and children, she even gets along with the felines. She will engage in play with other dogs, but prefers to be near her humans. She loves car rides and walks – sniffing and inspecting everything along the way.

Sierra is best suited to a household that has other dogs (cats are fine too). She does have separation anxiety if she is not in the same room or you go out for some time. She is a major counter surfer and an opportunist. She LOVES trash cans and the contents.

She was diagnosed with glomerulonephritis recently and we have started her on a food program to help and blood pressure meds. Costs of the meds are less than $15/mo.

Don’t let her age fool you. She is a walker and ready for a 1-2 hr trip and not get tired. Energy of a Britt half her age.

She would truly thrive in a home where she has other dogs to hang with who could help her feel part of a pack, a cat to check up on, and people that are home full time, or that can take her to work with them. She hits the scales at 45 lbs. not small but not big. loves to play RRRRARRR and gets the zoomies, like FAST zoomies, will sit and have an entire conversation with you on any subject food or Britt related. She brings her bowl hoping you will fill it up but, in our house it’s a strict diet and feeding times. Truly loves veggies and carrots work as great snacks.
