Dog Story
Introducing Sherman! He is a lovable Brittany/English Setter mix.
Sherman is a five year old that loves to run but when he is in the house, he spends his time relaxing. He always seems to have a smile on his face. There have been times when he is laying on the floor, and his tail just starts wagging!
He gets along well with his doggie pals. I don’t think he as lived with cats before, so Sherman is learning the phrase ‘leave it!’ He is actually getting along well with our cats. Sherman loves to be with his foster family. He regularly places his head on our laps and waits for a pet. He doesn’t jump on the furniture or the bed so no worries about having an oversized lap dog.
We have taken him on walks and he does pretty well, but needs a little more work to keep from pulling. He has the personality trait of a English Setter in that he is easily distracted by birds to the point that he can’t hear what I am telling him to do. As we have been working with him, he has gotten better. He is very eager to learn and please us.Sherman is such a sweetheart and ready to find his forever home! Sherman is in perfect health, up to date on all shots and heartworm negative.
If you think Sherman is the perfect dog for your family, please fill out the online adoption applicationand mention Sherman!
Sherman comes to American Brittany Rescue after being surrendered by his original owner. Sherman discovered the chicken coup bird dogs and chickens don’t often mix!
