Looking for a forever home!! Hi I’m Scruffy, I’m from Spain so my name sounds like Scroooffy and I’m an awesome dawg! I’m a 6 yr old, tutored (neutered) boy that loves a good run in the field then warm snuggle on the sofa with my person. What I would really love is a person of my own is that you? I walk very nicely on a leash without pulling and take treats so very softly when they are offered. I like my crate and am happy to hang out in there when you are away. I’m house-trained and use the doggy door to ‘do my business’, I get along great with other dogs and don’t chew things, well except the occasional toy. I like to be off leash at the part and am working on recall when we go to the park. I don’t know if I like cats or children, we don’t have any at my house right now. Foster parents: We’ve had Scruffy for a few weeks now and he is very sweet. He likes to run as well as cuddle. Doesn’t pull on a leash and ‘sometimes’ comes when called. He came here from Spain on March 10th, no sure what his recall command is bu we’re working on it. He take treats daintily and eats his food slowly. He goes into his kennel when we leave but is loose in the house at night and has never got into anything or chewed up anything other than an occasional dog toy. He will take things outside (toys, bones, .) and leave a pile in a certain spot of his. He’s gaining confidence as he feels more secure in his environment, does great with other dogs and wants to be part of the pack. If you would like Scruffy to join your family please fill out the online adoption applicationand mention Scruffy. UPDATE MARCH 20TH We have 2 Brittanys and Scruffy went off leash on a walk and stayed with our two dogs. It seems he has had hunting experience or just has natural Brittany tendencies. Dog History: Scruffy is part of ABR’s International rescue effort.
