Meet Scout! Scout is from Spain and boy is he a lover! Scout loves everyone and stays close by us. No matter what room we are in, he is right there. Scout loves laps and snuggles in bed as well. Scout doesn’t know a stranger either. He greets them like long lost friends. His facial expressions are always happy, always inquisitive. Scout is also very active. He loves to wrestle with our Brittany, loves dog toys, (although he is hard on them) so we try to keep him supplied with rawhide bones. He loves to be outside. Even in the subzero weather he’ll stay outside for quite a while and usually comes when he’s called. We have a large fenced yard and Scout loves to explore it. He seems to have the makings of a retriever. He will bring back thrown objects and he’s learning to give them up so they can be thrown again. In the evening Scout settles down and curls up at my feet. That’s where he is, now, chewing rawhide while he warms my toes. Scout is also curious! He sticks his nose into everything. He could tell you what’s in every corner of our house and yard .LOL Scout will make someone a faithful friend. He’s still a little puppyish, even though he’s five years old, but he learns fast. He was not housebroken when he first came to us, but 3 days later, we figured each other’s signals and now he is just fine. The ideal home will be one that is active, has another Brittany/dog and will work on his strengths which could lead to being out in the field to hunt. If you feel he would be a wonderful asset to your home life, then please fill out the adoption application and mention his name and ID#. Scout is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative and on preventative. Scout is one of our international dogs that came over from Spain the week after Thanksgiving.
