Dog Story: Scooter is an energetic, playful and good natured Brit mix. The mix part of him may be hound, and the length of his growing legs, size of his body and paws and the way he walks might suggest that. I have teased him many times about being a hound in Brit clothing. But he also may have some pointer in him at least that’s what I think I’m seeing in his face. He is still young, about six months old, and he displays all those endearing and irritating traits that puppies have. Like all Brits he sincerely wants to please and be loved, but his strong willed nature, his playfulness and his exuberance sometimes make it difficult for him to do what his better instincts tell him. But he has shown great progress and in a loving and patient home he will become a wonderful family pet. Scooter is intelligent and has already learned some basic commands, but he would definitely benefit from a basic obedience class. His house training is progressing very nicely and he has graduated from sleeping in his crate at night to sleeping in his dog bed in our bedroom. Scooter enjoys playing with other dogs and he would do best in a home with a fenced yard. He is microchipped and up to date on all his shots. Right now Scooter needs a family who wants a big puppy, is willing to get him through the puppy challenges, doesn’t care that he’s not all Brit and will love him no matter what he turns into. And if he has Brittany, hound and pointer in him there is no telling if and what he will hunt! If you are interested in knowing more about Scooter please complete the adoption application or email or call his foster family. Scooter was rescued from a shelter in Kansas City, MO.
