Please welcome Sage to the site of adoptable Brittanys!

Sayge is a sweet chunk of love. Sayge came to us very overweight and though we have been working on sliming her down with special food, we learned that this very smart little girl figured out how to open the dog food bin! We were wondering why she wasn’t losing more…..Little stinker! We now have solved that problem and she should start slimming down more….now.

Sayge has a kind of a stocky build so she’ll never be petite but she’s still agile enough to have elimiated one squirrel from our yard. SAYGE has a thing about squirrels. She will stand on the arm of our couch and watch them intently through the window. Sayge would not be a good fit for anyone who keeps small animals like rabbits or Guinea pigs.

Now with people, that’s a whole different story. Sayge LOVES people, any size or age and loves to be with them. When we leave for errands, etc….we come home to a particularly enthusiastic welcome. Sayge has the run of the house whether we’re home or not. We have never returned to find that she’s left us any surprises, although we’ve learned to keep food away from the edge of the counter because we’ve caught her counter surfing a few times. Sayge doesn’t beg at the table, although she’s always ready to catch any popcorn that comes her way.

Sayge has a very good sense of smell. She can smell mice under the snow and will plow along with her head completely submerged while she hunts for them….as witnessed in the photos! Sayge walks very well on a leash without pulling, and off leash she will come when we whistle. All in all, Sayge is a wonderful Brittany who will make someone or a family a very good companion, especially in a home where her people have time to spend with her.

If you are intersted in Sayge, please complete the online application and mention her name and ID # Sayge is UTD on vaccines and is H/W negative.

HISTORY:

Sayge’s owner had passed away and so his son contacted us to help re-home her.
