Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Wow! What a story I’ve got to tell. Are you ready???
My original name was ‘Gus’. One day my family took me to this place to visit and never came back for me. They told the people there that I scared their kids. Geez! Why didn’t they just teach me NOT to do that? Well anyway this nice lady then came and got me. She took me to another home where they had kids too but the Mommy and Daddy there taught me manners. They taught me how to sleep in a crate, sit, to play nice and to come when called by my new name ‘Sarge’.
So how did I become Rocky the Rockstar’? Well, long story short. I have had to have two expensive surgeries to remove fairy large rocks from my tummy. My new family said they just couldn’t afford the second surgery; they felt really, really bad.But here I am again living with the nice lady that came and saved me from the shelter. She makes me wear a muzzle whenever I go outside. Boy, does that ever ‘bite’ ha ha! you know what I mean. I can’t chew anything or even bark!! But other than the rock eating, I’m really a good puppy and just need someone to get me through this stage of my life and can keep a close watch over me.
One more thing.even if you can’t adopt me would you consider donating some money to ABR? Foster Mom is calling it the ‘Rocky’ fund to help cover my surgery bill.
If you are interested in adopting Sarge, please complete an adoption application via our website.
The adoption fee for Sarge is $350. Please keep in mind that all adoption applications will be reviewed before chosing a home for Sarge. Because he is a return to the rescue and due to his age and history, his forever home will be carefully chosen
