Dog Story: Sadie is a sweetheart! She is somewhat shy but is a typical friendly Brittany once she decides you are her friend. Pictures just do not capture Sadie’s beauty. She has a gorgeous face and a sleek physique. She weighs about 30 pounds. She may have another growth spurt in her so could reach 33-35 pounds but she appears have mostly grown into her paws. Sadie is potty trained but is on a medication to strengthen her bladder (a side effect of her spay.) The medication helps and costs less than $20/month.She is crated when her family is away from the house because she might chew if left unattended. She likes to please people and is good when they are around. She has energy but seemed calm when we met her. Sadie’s new owner will probably want to take her through obedience training. It is a great bonding experience plus it would build her confidence. She already knows sit and did it without a treat so we know she is a smart girl who understands. She wants to please people. Sadie has not been around cats or other dogs. She lives with older kids (ages 9 and 12.)She has been around very young children in the neighborhood but they made her too nervous. Sadie is interactive and would be best with someone who enjoys spending time with their dog. She is accustomed to a fenced yard and enjoys pointing bunnies and birds. She has not been around cats or other dogs. If you are interested in Sadie, please complete the adoption application Sadie’s family got her as a puppy from a breeder near Tecumseh, Nebraska. They made the difficult decision to surrender her because their work schedules have changed and she must be left in the crate for up to 12 hours. She is micro-chipped and up to date on her shots as of April 2009.
