Hi, I’m Sadie and I am looking for a quiet, loving home. I’m 10 years old and spent my life as a breeder dog, having litter after litter of beautiful puppies. Everything I ever loved was taken away from me, over and over again. When I wasn’t useful anymore, I was given to American Brittany Rescue. They saved me! I had 25 teeth pulled and the others cleaned up, had my UTI treated, was spayed and got lots of shots. I had a manicure, a pedicure, a bath and now I’m not only healthy but beautiful as well. I am shy and a bit fearful but day by day I am gaining confidence. I’m house trained, use the doggy door (modified to soft plastic rather than a hard plastic flap), I’m cat friendly and dog friendly, unless it’s stranger. Actually “friendly” may not be the best description; maybe “indifferent” describes me better. In the past 2 months my whole world has changed from living in a space with just dogs to living with people, cats, toys, tv in a house with stairs and a yard to play in . I am adjusting. I like going on short walks but am fearful of everything new. I love to eat! Just this week my foster momma fed me a treat that I took right from her hand. I hide downstairs in an alcove; but I learned if I do come upstairs I get a bit of chicken.
