Hola, me llamo es Ryen. Hi, my name is Ryen. I am new to your country, having arrived just after Thanksgiving from Spain. I’m searching for a family to love. I really like to chase the furry critters in my foster family’s yard (I’ll even occasionally bring you a mouse if I can catch it), but most of all I love to sleep cuddled up with my people! I am crate trained, but I prefer sleeping on couches or beds (if allowed). My foster family calls me a Velcro pooch. Not sure what they mean by that, but maybe it has to do with the way I follow them around all the time. I really don’t like being by myself. One of my nicknames is Mellow Mutt. I am a very laid back, quiet kind of guy. I don’t really like it when there is a lot of activity around me. I do ok with other calm dogs, but very active, energetic ones not so much. I would really like to be the only dog in the house. I am learning my commands. The language barrier is a bit of a problem, but I’m starting to understand English. Normally I don’t say much, but I’ll let you know if I hear or see something out of the ordinary. My Foster Mom also says I have trouble holding my licker. I can’t help it.I love people and just have to give doggie kisses to show it! Hi, this is Ryen’s foster Mom. Ryen is a sweet, adorable, friendly cuddle bug. He will follow you anywhere for just a pet or especially for a treat. We’ve been working on his training and he is coming along nicely. He follows us around the house in a very nice heel. We’ve been trying to teach him to sit politely and wait for his food, but that is coming slowly. We think he was probably the low pup on the totem pole in his former life so he has trouble believing that there will always be enough food for him and no one is going to take it from him. We believe it would be in his best interest to be the only dog in the house. We have no idea how he is with cats or small children. No sight unseen or long-distance adoptions for this Britt Boy. We feel it is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we have a good fit. If you would like be considered as Ryen’s family, please complete the adoption application Ryen is an International dog from Spain. He is neutered and micro chipped, current on all vaccinations, Leishmania negative. He was treated for Heart Worm in September of 2018 and is on Heart Worm Preventative. He will need to retested for Heart Worm in March of 2019.
