Rufus is the most loving dog. He is medium sized with a beautiful, soft coat. He loves to feel connected to his humans. He only barks when he’s excited or if he hears something. He would make an excellent hunting dog with the proper training. He is housebroken, and loves to play with other dogs. He definitely has energy, but after a long walk, a good swim or a game of fetch he is content to lay down on his bed and rest. He has been with young children his whole life, the youngest being 5 now. He deserves a good family with lots of love to give him. He needs a little work with his obedience training, and jumping up when he is excited. But he is such a happy, joyful pup, willing to do what it takes to be your best friend.

The latest report from his foster Mom is that he is blooming here! He is great with their other two dogs, being patient and always playful. No resource guarding:) He is house trained and crate trained!

Rufus is recovering well after his neuter surgery. He is up to date on all shots, Heartworm negative, and has no known health issues.
