Ruby is one of the sweet dogs that came to us as a part of the Nevada City 37. She is so beautiful with her rich russet-orange and white coat. She is supposed to be 10 years old, but even the vet thinks she is younger, as she is so beautiful and in such good condition. Her teeth are in great shape, she is a very healthy 38 pounds, and walks with that beautiful Brittany gate that makes heads turn. She is interested in every new smell while out for a walk, but will leave things alone when you tell her. Ruby spent her life in a cushy Kennel, so she didn’t know about living in a house until recently. She is fully housebroken, doesn’t counter surf (unless you leave her alone with a tasty Roast on the counter), doesn’t get on furniture unless she is invited and doesn’t bark much. She comes to her name when you call her – especially if you have some popcorn to give her. She adores popcorn! She gets along with other dogs – both male and female, and loves people. Her favorite thing is to cuddle with her human and get pets. When she gets a little insecure she will come up to you, sit and wrap her forearms around your leg and hug you.Although Ruby gets along with other dogs, and is not aggressive in any way, she would prefer to be the only dog in her new home.
