Meet Rocky a very handsome, friendly Britt who loves to hunt. He greets people with a “toothy grin” and “handshake”. He craves attention and his eager to please. He gets along great with our resident female Britt loving a game of tag outside. He would do well with another social dog or be the sole focus of your attention. He’s not food or toy possessive, but will try to claim our bed as HIS. We’ve redirected him to sleeping on his own beloved dog bed in our room. Rocky is fully house trained and can be left alone for a few hours with no concerns. While in foster care, he has shown no interest in digging or escaping our fenced yard. He really enjoys being with his people and overseeing the yard, Rocky is pretty vocal. He whines for attention, ignore him and he’ll move on. He barks at neighbors and at his toys. LOL. He play growls when playing tug-a-war. Rocky does not know his own strength and can be mouthy when playing. We only recommend families with older children. He loves his daily walks and playing ball, inside and outside! In his past, Rocky had experience hunting pheasant, grouse, etc. We hear he has talent, however, Rocky will be placed as a family member living inside FIRST. No long distance or sight unseen adoptions for this sweet boy. We feel it is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we have a good fit. If you want a wonderful companion who enjoys hunting, Rocky may be the one. Please complete the adoption applicationand mention Rocky.10/31/22 PUPDATE: After more evaluation, Rocky ‘s hunt training may be overstated.
