Dog Story: If you are looking for a puppy but would rather not worry about housebreaking and teething, then Rocket is the dog for you. He is a 1 1/2 year old that is enjoying life to the fullest and puts excitement and wonder in everything he does. He is discovering the world and loves to explore and play all day long. He likes people, toys, his foster siblings, belly rubs and snuggle time, in that order. He learned the routine of the house within the week and except for occasional puppy transgressions is quite well behaved. After a hard day of running and playing he settles down nicely at night and sleeps in his crate without any problems. He gets along great with other dogs and likes children, although he may be too energetic for very small ones. He doesn’t seem to know any commands yet, we are working on SIT right now, but he does know the meaning of NO and follows that command well. He walks okay on leash with just a little pulling. Rocket is very handsome with the most beautiful eyes. He is a little fearful of loud voices and some movements, but is easily reassured. He is looking for a family that is willing to continue his puppy education and has the time and patience to invest in making him the perfect companion that he can be. He would enjoy a dog sibling, but will be okay as an only dog, as long as he gets the exercise and attention he needs. Rocket is neutered, had all his shots, is HW negative on preventative medicine and micro chipped. If you think he is the right fit for your family please fill out the adoption applicationand mention Rocket # 3690.When a foster home/coordinator receives your application, they will contact youby e-mail or phone. His foster parents will be happy to provide any additional information needed, don’t hesitate to call them. Rocket was surrendered by his owner because he didn’t have enough time for him.
