Dog Story: Robbie is a handsome boy currently living in Charleston, SC with his foster dad. Gentle, affectionate, and eager to please all accurate descriptions of this good-looking fella. In the house, Robbie likes to be near his foster dad’s side. If he’s not in the same room, he’s not far away! He enjoys cooking with his foster dad while being on alert for anything that might mysteriously drop from the counter top. Robbie has discovered a taste for steamed broccoli and loves his Kong with a bit of peanut butter on the inside. Sweet potato treats are also a favorite. Robbie is a great listener and is quick to respond to verbal correction. He would love a home than can help him build upon his already impressive skills and training. He is house broken with only one accident since coming into foster. His foster dad thinks he was upset, as it was the day after he got neutered. Robbie sometimes likes to jump on the couch, but once it was worked out, he now has a designated spot on the loveseat. He is well behaved around other calm natured dogs and people. Cats make him go NUTS! He has enjoyed many play dates with his foster dad’s friends and their canine companions. Robbie would do best in a home that lives an active lifestyle. He likes early morning walks, afternoon walks, lots of daily yard time, dog parks, and play dates to fill his social calendar (with these good looks, who wouldn’t!). He hasn’t been to the beach yet, but hopes to go soon! After a long day, Robbie likes to hang out in the living room, watch TV and catch up on some zzzz’s. If this wonderful boy is just what you have been hoping for please fill out our adoption application and note Robbie #5313. Robbie was surrendered by his owner to a NC shelter when he wasn’t tolerant of the new puppy biting on him all the time. Robbie put him in his place one day (not hurting him) but that landed him at the shelter. Robbie is a larger boy weighing in at 55lbs, he is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative on preventative and microchipped.
