Hello, my name is Rio. I have a sad story to tell. I lived in a dog kennel with two other dogs. We got feed and water daily, but not much fun time with my owner. We didn’t understand why. We were good and just wanted someone to play with. One day he moved away and didn’t take us with him. It got cold and we didn’t have food or water. One of my dog brothers went to sleep and didn’t wake up. One day a nice lady came a took us to her house. We had a clean kennel with food and water. She called the nice people at ABR and my new foster family came a got me. Wow, I didn’t know a dogs life could be this good. I have my own crate that I call my safe place. I get to sleep inside on a nice doggie bed. I have all the food I can eat. I am learning how to play with toys. I went to the doggie doctor and got all my shots and my teeth cleaned and something called neuter. Not the best day of my life, but certainly not the worst. All better now and looking for my next adventure and my forever home. Hey, foster dad here. Rio is working on basic commands and house training. He craves human contact. It is believed he did have much with his original owner. He is about 6 years old and 37 pounds. He is up to date on immunizations and heartworm negative. He came to us at the same time another male dog arrived, and he had and little adjustment period. The other rescue switched out for a female and all is good. I believe in time, he will learn there is enough love and food to go around. So if you a looking to add a Brittanyto your family and have a little extra love to share, then please consider Mr Rio.
