Dog Story: Wiggly and squiggly in every way, who could ever turn this sweet puppy away? Turned away is exactly what happened to Ringo as he found himself sitting in a shelter. Ringo is a stunningly beautiful roan French Brittany with shiny black fur. He is approximately 10 months old and just melts your heart. He is 100% puppy and so wants to be loved, loyally following foster mom around the house. Although Brittany pups are the cutest they are also a lot of work! Ringo has tons of puppy energy and is quickly growing into a curious, active and very busy young Brittany. Ringo is responsive to training commands and training is what this young man needs! He is in foster care with four other dogs and loves the company of his canine siblings, running at top speed and exploring nature in the backyard. Ringo enjoys playing with the youngest one and will respect the discipline of the older dogs. He has the usual puppy habits like jumping up in excitement and is learning the ‘off’ command. Even with that puppy energy Ringo can settle down nicely in the house, napping with his foster brothers and sisters. Ringo is working on housetraining which will need to be continued in his new home as he masters indoor manners. He is learning crate training and stays safely in his crate when unsupervised. As with most puppies he is very mouthy play-biting and jumping in excitement so it is not recommended he go to a home with younger children. Ringo tends to want to be the center of attention (a real star) but will respond to being told to wait his turn. He will require an experienced adoptive family who is consistent in training and knowledgeable in raising a bird dog puppy. Obedience classes are a must of course to continue molding this young pup into a canine good citizen. Ringo had a rough start in life but he’s put those bad experiences out of his mind and is blossoming into a more self-assured dog in a loving environment. Ringo is current on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you’re interested in Ringo please submit the online adoption application and mention Ringo-3875 before contacting his foster family. Ringo was an owner surrender to a shelter in Los Angeles.
