10/18/2022 Greetings ! This is Remy! He is a wonderful Old Guy with a very challenged history. He came from an animal control shelter in Indiana. Apparently it was his 2nd time thru that facility in a year. Remy was very emaciated with concerns of having many medical conditions, he was obviously very neglected, starving, and left to fend for himself. The Director of the shelter contacted ABR immediately. Flight transport and Foster was arranged within 24 hrs and Remy landed safely in MN to begin a new life!! His 1st day in Foster had him get a good warm bath, multiple small meals, a new bed and blankey and lots of lovin’ . oh ya .. a new coat to keep him warm. no body fat on him at all. His 1st vet visit was just 4 days in and was actually better than expected. He has meds to manage a couple of his medical concerns. F/U vet visit in 2 weeks. Every day he gets exercise in the large fenced in yard, and goes on short walks, a steady diet of good quality dog food and some “home cooking” by Hoo-Guy Foster to help get nutrition and weight back to normal. The goal is to slowly steadily build body mass, muscle, weight, strength, coordination. He has a GREAT attitude, he is loving, affectionate and very smart! He is very willing to do all things, and is settling in well with “Hoo-Guy Foster” and the 2 Lady Britts in the home. All of this will need time. I will update this from time to time, and whenever benchmarks or event happen. RJ
