Dog Story: Hi my name is Rambler cause I’m just a ramblin’ man. I rambled around until I ended up at a Kentucky animal shelter and from there ABR helped me ramble on down to Georgia and my new foster family. I am a loving, smart 4 1/2 year old young man. I am energetic and love to play with toys. I even steal them out of my foster brothers mouth when he’s not paying close attention to me. I’m not as fond of being outside yet, but then again it’s been really rainy here in Atlanta. I am good on my leash and will stay right by your feet. I have newly cleaned teeth, been neutered, am heartworm negative, and up to date on all my shots. I love my foster family and really don’t like being out of their sight. I do well in my crate although I don’t really want to go there when they go off to school. I watch my foster brother carefully and am learning some new tricks from him. I am working on sit and stay. I am house trained but don’t ask to go out yet. I need a gentle hand. Mad voices make me think I’ve been bad (even if it’s my foster brother making bad choices) and sticks (like brooms) scare me a little but I’m getting better. I love to cuddle on the coach and rub my head against my foster family. They tell me they love me and I love hearing that! I’m not too sure of the creature that lives in the basement (my foster mom says its a cat). I bark at it and it runs downstairs away from me. I do bark to protect my foster family from cars and squirrels but I love meeting new people. Rambler is still getting used to being an inside boy, but his foster family says the transition has been pretty easy overall. He gets along great with the resident dog and enjoys the school age children in the foster family. Rambler is a little underweight, but a healthy boy. His only issues are some runny eyes and sneezing he is taking some Benedryl for. Right now we are hoping the might just be seasonal allergies, but it is something that might need to be followed up on if it continues.
