Dog Story: Queenie is a pretty and petite young Hawaiian lady who is very friendly and sweet. Queenie loves walks and being petted. She gets along well with children and her Brittany foster sisters and has the typical high energy level of a youngster. Although she had never been inside a house before arriving in ABR foster care, Queenie is adjusting well to the good life as an indoor pet and becoming accustomed to housetraining and good manners. Toys, balls and even the television were all fascinating new things to Queenie! She is very affectionate and eager to please, and greatly enjoys being praised as well as enjoying snuggle time on laps. She is a high energy gal who loves to stalk birds and hunt lizards in the yard; however Queenie is gunshy and thus will not be a candidate for hunting. Miss Queenie will be an excellent companion for an active family ready to lavish her with lots of time, attention and daily exercise. Queenie is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventive and microchipped and all ready to find her new home. If you are interested in a sprightly young girl like Queenie, please submit theadoption applicationand mention Queenie-4497, then contact her foster family. Queenie’s owners bred her for hunting but after realizing she is gunshy wanted her to have a loving home of her own and surrendered her to ABR’s care. Update 2/19/14: Queenie is moving to Hawaii ABR foster home with Daniel and Sherry Barnes in Honolulu, HI.
