Meet Petey, a seven and a half year old high energy boy and hunter at heart. He would love a family who gives him lots of exercise, especially in a large fenced area where he has time to run and chase little critters. He’s the farthest thing from a couch potato! He’s like the energizer bunny who could run all day. Petey is house trained and crate trained. Because he drinks lots of water, he needs to go out to relieve himself often. His ideal family would keep up with his Brittany energy and perhaps train him in agility or scent work. Petey is very in tune to the sounds of nature. He even reacts to those sounds when they come from the television. Animal Planet is not a show to leave on for Petey’s entertainment when you are away. Also, he reacts to the sound of thunderstorms and will want to be with your for comfort. Petey has been fostered in a home with a blind female Brittany and though he gets along well with her, he isn’t interested in playing. Petey loves to sleep with his person and even wants his head to be on your chest. He is a sweet boy who needs lots of exercise to be able to relax with his people at the end of the day. Petey was surrendered to a shelter by an elderly gentleman who could no longer care for him. He is UTD on vaccines, neutered, HW negative and on preventatives.
