Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Hi my name is Penny Lane, I never thought I would be looking for a new home but here I am. I lived with my family for 8 years, we were all very sad to part ways but my little brother was very sick. The only way for him to get better was for me to pack my bones so I have ABR to thank for helping me find a new home.
I’m 10 years young and weight 35 lbs. I have the spirit of a puppy but the wisdom of a senior. I’m past all the silly puppy stuff, I don’t jump up or get on the sofa (well sometimes) and I love my crate, my blanket and stuffed fox. I know how to sit, stay, lay down, shake, play soccer, I like to play in water and am a master treat catcher. I do my ‘business’ outside and will let myself out the doggy door. My family sent me with a list of my 15 favorite things, scratches under the collar and playing tug with my blanket are just two on the list. I walk smartly on a leash with a Gentle Leader otherwise I’m a typical Brittany and like to take you for a drag down the street. I like people of all ages, especially men; I think cats are boring once I meet them. I’ve been an only dog for a long time so I’m a little possessive of my toys, blanket and crate. I get along with most dogs but it would be best if we met first.
I have a mild heart condition that I take medication for, that just means that I’m not going to run a marathon but thats ok, I’m an expert snuggler. I also take medication for what mom calls incontinence cause I potty a little in my sleep but with my medication I’m good as new. I’m otherwise a healthy, happy girl that would love to have a place at your feet.
Foster Mom here: Penny is a sweet girl that has been an only dog for a long time. She’s a little possessive of ‘her’ things, we’re trying to work through it. We can tell Penny wants to play with the other dogs but is unsure, I think in time she will figure out no one is a threat.
Penny had a recent vet exam and microchip, and is up-to-date on her vaccines. Penny takes 3 inexpensive presciptions daily: Prion, Furosemide and Enalapril.
Pennys family loved her very much and were heartbroken to have to give her up; through it all Penny has managed to keep a smile on her face and a wiggly tail.
If you would like Penny to join your family please fill out the online adoption applicationand mention Penny.
