Dog Story: PD is her name and short for Petey, but with a D sound. She was an owner surrender to ABR when her owner died and caring friends contacted ABR to quickly intervene. We were told by them her owner hunted with her in the Seymour, Texas area, and I believe it. She has a very good fetch instinct, is extremely fit and on the search around the fence perimeter. She must have a very good fence but at the same time no indications to climb fences. Every ball toss is brought back to my feet. She will fetch and release a Chuckit ball. PD’s health is excellent, her teeth are in good shape, speed fast, eyes happy and clear, with bloodwork perfectly normal including a good thyroid and 47#. She has a tail that to her visitors and care givers is always happy too. She is affectionate to everyone while not jumping on humans. We have a home with five male and female dogs that get along with her very nicely and PD with them. She has no fears or worry with storms or firecrackers. Obedience started right away and on the right foot! After about a week she will sit and wait for her name to be called to come in or go outside as each of our other dogs are called one by one. Every ‘agh’ correction is met with good attitude and without any moodiness at all. So with your house rules, she will be happy within them. Naturally, heart worm negative, all vaccinations current, spayed and chipped. Come see her!
