World, meet Odin.

Odin is a black-and-white, four year old French Brittany whose face shines in just the right lighting to reveal his tri-color on his snout.

Odin has blossomed with his foster family, who have two female Brittanys that play non-stop! He has learned to signal with a bell when he needs to use the bathroom, retires to his crate to sleep at night (though we suspect he would LOVE to sleep next to his forever humans) and strikes a healthy balance of play time and relaxing. He is a true cuddle bug who thrives with affection and touch. He hasn’t met a dog (or human!) he doesn’t like.

Our ideal home for Odin will have one or more dogs to befriend, and will be a situation where his humans can spend several hours a day with him. His activity level can be described as “medium” in comparison to some Britts that need “high” levels of exercise and activity. He loves children, car rides, walks on the leash, and has become a professional toy destroyer (he usually does this on his own – not necessarily a tug-of war or fetch kind of guy). We haven’t seen him demonstrate a prey drive. While his foster family does not have a cat, we think he would live happily alongside a cat if the feline were confident and comfortable correcting any behavior it isn’t a fan of. Odin is still actively working on his recall, and we would be most comfortable if his adopters have a fenced in yard.

Background: Odin found himself in the care of American Brittany Rescue when his devoted owner developed dementia. A family member stepped in to care for him, but found his energy levels to be too much for their lifestyle and asked ABR to help find his perfect home. Odin is up to date on all vaccinations, on heartworm/ flea and tick preventative, and has no health issues!
