(Obie came to us with the name Noble, but we changed it to Obie because when our dog Jasper would hear us say Noble, all he heard was No and thought he was in trouble.) We thought Obie was a much better fit for this fun-loving sweet Brittany.)

Obie is a sweet, funny 7mo old Brittany who is affectionate and willing to please. He is very friendly, great with children, and other dogs. He loves to play and run in the yard. He loves chasing squirrels and birds, and an occasional butterfly or bee. He has boundless energy but will calm down easily. He loves to be close to his people. He loves to lay close to our other Brittany, Jasper, a 10-year-old male, and does well for quite a while.

He is crate trained (will sleep in the crate all night without a sound) and housebroken. He hasn’t learned the fine art of walking well on a leash, and still pulls, but with a little training, he will be fine. He knows sit, down, stay, (for a short time) and leave it, (usually). He will play fetch but is still learning to drop when he brings it back (treats help a lot). He also likes to play “come and get it if you can”, so you will chase him. He loves to sit on your lap and is very good when there. He is really very well behaved for as young as he is.

He will need a fenced in yard and is prone to digging if he thinks there’s something worthwhile just under the surface. He will get very focused on certain things, and it can be hard to break his focus.  He needs lots of activity and walks and play to tire him out. He loves to ride in a car or truck. We hook him with his car harness to the seat belt, and he will lay down and ride for long stretches (we had him in the car for 2+ hours with no problem.)
