I’m Nalani, everyone’s favorite little fireball!  My name means “calm heavens” and when I’m snuggling up with my people, that’s me for sure!  But I am still every bit a 10-month-old Brittany pup on the go with a long feathery tail that keeps up with me.  I enjoy toys, swimming, chasing birds and squirrels, car rides, learning new tricks, and running and playing at the beach – actually, running and playing anywhere!!  I can be silly begging for ice cubes, laying in my toy bin, sprawling out with stretchy legs and following the humans around constantly.  I have a high drive for toys and food which has made it easy to teach me things like sit, lay down, stay, spin, come, and I’m working on roll over.  I have SO many things I love – swimming, romping with other dogs, and playing with kids!  But I’ll let my folks tell you more about me because I’m the full package!

Foster family here:  Nalani is an adorable fun-loving girl currently weighing in at 27 pounds.  After her family needed to move, she’s ready for a new place in the sun.  Nalani is very attached to her people and fellow dogs, so a new home where someone is around much of the time is ideal, plus canine siblings for company and playtime.  Her dream place has room to run, long walks, swims and plenty of sturdy chew toys (she’s still all puppy teeth and needs to exercise them!)  Nalani sleeps in her crate for nighttime and when the humans are out, and is housetrained often asking to go out to potty.  She is very friendly with people and animals (except small critters…no pocket pets, birds or chickens for this little lady, although she has previously lived with cats.)  Nalani adores children and will play with them nonstop.  Going out to stores, the coffee shop, parks and beach are favorite activities.  She has a total fascination with water and loves swimming, wading, washing her toys in the water bowl, and just plain pawing it all out to help you mop the floor.  Nalani is working on leash manners and recall, which like most Brittanys goes to distraction when a squirrel or bird is around.  She likes to dig so should be monitored in the yard.  With consistency and routine Nalani continues to thrive and is ready for lots of play and love in her forever home!
