Dog Story: Murphy is an adorable Brittany boy affectionately nicknamed Little Smurf. He is a real love bug whose tail is always wagging happily! Murphy loves to cuddle with the humans and at only 30 pounds is the perfect size for a lap dog. He’s an energetic, outgoing pup and overjoyed to have other dogs to run and wrestle with.Once he gets good exercise he will settle down indoors on the dog bed or in his crate. Murphy is learning house manners anddoing well going outdoors to potty. He is now used to sleeping quietly in his crate through the night, for rest time, and when no one is home. Little Smurf is still very much a puppy with all the bounciness and activity of a typical one year-old Britt. He is playful with people and dogs. He can be mouthy when he gets excitedso good chew toys and bones ensure he is chewing on appropriate items. Murphy is a smart young pup and will excel in a beginner obedience class with his new family to learn basic commands and leash manners. He loves to interact with other dogs for romping playtime and has learned to be respectful of the older ones. Murphy will be a great addition to an active household where he can get plenty of daily exercise and activity with the family as well as the basic training and supervision a young Brittany needs. Murphy is a social butterfly who will do best with another dog as a playmate and companion. Murphy is current on vaccinations, on heartworm preventive, and microchipped; he’sready for his forever home. He has charmed his foster parents and all the holiday guests with his sweet and funny personality! If you are interested in adopting him, please complete the online adoption application and mention Murphy-3583;then contact his foster family. Murphy arrived as a stray at a local shelter right before Christmas and wasreleased into ABR foster care.
