Moose is a sweet 6 year old neutered male. He was an owner surrender to the local shelter because he had become “protective and anxious.” Moose is my shadow and may become protective but we have not seen any signs of anxiety. He loves to cuddle but also loves to run. He is well behaved and gets along well with my two dogs and is OK with the cat. Moose may be wary of men when first introduced. He is comfortable around elderly. Not sure about kids. He knows basic commands. He has been to the dog park and responded to my commands to come (except when Moose and my dogs were all 100% focused on smells, probably voles). He has been out on a trail but was on a lead. He may need some training in coming when loose on a trail. He could stand to lose a pound or two but is solid and in good shape. Moose has had some bird training according to his documentation and does show interest in birds. He is crate trained but would much prefer to sleep on your bed or on the couch. He enjoys looking out the front window to bark at dogs passing by and joins our dogs in giving an enthusiastic greeting to anyone who comes to the door. He has been left alone in the house and did well.
