Missy is a very affectionate 3-year old little lady, but don’t let her petite size (26 lbs) and prettiness fool you – she’s a sporty, active girl and loves to walk, hike, swim, and bike. She is very interested in anything that moves, or flies and will go on point instinctively. She loves riding in the car and gets so excited when she sees us getting ready to leave the house or approaching a park or trailhead. She is also very happy to be at your feet and always wants to be in the same room with you. She will ask to sit on your lap at any opportunity. Missy really hates to be alone, and while she’s not destructive or self-harming, she gets blue and anxious when her humans leave her alone too often. Her ideal adopter would be a retired person, a stay at home mom, or someone with a home office. Missy loves her walks and is great on leash. Not so good off leash as her recall needs a lot of practice! Missy is great with children and other dogs. She’s fascinated with cats, but it isn’t known how she’ll behave. She’ll sit and stare forever at a cat that holds its ground, but she’ll chase it if it runs (a true Britt trait). I don’t know how anyone could not love her! If you’d like to know more about this sweet little girl, give me a call or shoot me an email, and definitely complete an on-line adoption application Her current owner adopted her two years ago from a Brittany Rescue organization, but then moved to an apartment in Phoenix for her job. Missy has been going regularly to doggy day care while her owner works, but this is expensive and unreliable. She has had to stay home alone more often and stay overnight with a sitter, which was causing too much stress and anxiety for her.
