Merle was an owner surrender in Iowa. He is silly and loves with his whole Brittany heart! He has some initial anxiety that manifests as hyper energy but after only a day or two he gets comfortable and becomes part of the pack. What he lacks in training he makes up for in sweetness and snuggles. He is smart and learns quickly and has started learning more basic commands and crate training. He really enjoys hanging out with his two Brittany brothers and would do well with another dog to match his energy. He also is learning the fine art of napping and does well with being calm in a calm environment. He does well with cats, sniffing then moving on. He loves toys and running in the backyard. He knows sit, his name and here. Easily redirected and seems to understand ‘no’. This sweet goofy guy would love to find a home where he can prance around and flop his big ears and nose in your lap for belly scratches. Updates:We are in the process of training him to not mark. He was just neutered so that could be a big reason why. I am kennel training him which will help with the marking and times when he has to be left alone. He is a really good boy just wanting attention and he is very thin and underweight. We will supplement some puppy food as long as his tummy can handle it. This should help his counter surfing for food as he will get a few more nutrients. He responds will to redirection and squirt bottle training. He is currently being walked daily.
