Hi, I’m Mazie! I’m a 6-year old Brittany searching for my forever home. My favorite things to do are chase the squirrels and bunnies in my foster family’s yard, sit by any window or door and watch outside, snuggle next to my foster Mom on the couch, eat peanut butter-filled Kong treats, and most of all I love to sleep! I really like my crate, but I also like sleeping on comfy chairs, couches or beds (if you’ll let me). I’m not much of a talker, but I’ll let you know if I hear or see something strange, or if another dog is talking too. I’m also not much of a licker, but I do like to give butterfly kisses once I’m comfortable with you. Foster Mom says I’m a smart girl and know commands like sit, off, come, down, and ‘kennel up.’ I haven’t had a single accident in the house either! One thing though, I don’t like those pesky kitty cats. I really need a home without one of those. Foster Mom says you can contact her if you want to know more about me. I’m quite a catch! Mazie’s foster Mom here. Mazie is a sweet independent Brittany. Once she is comfortable with you, she does enjoy snuggling on the couch and would sleep on your bed if you let her. She is very comfortable in her crate and would likely retreat to it often until she became comfortable in her new home. Mazie has been wonderful with children and other dogs, but does not do well with cats. She does have a high prey drive while out in the yard, and will chase bunnies and squirrels to her heart’s content. Mazie does tend to dig if she smells a critter along our fence line, so we do not leave her outside unattended for very long. She is reliable in the house while we are away, which is usually for 4-6 hours at a time. Mazie is not particularly interested in toys, but she does like treats. If you would like further information, don’t hesitate to ask!
