Dog Story: Marcus is a young happy go lucky dog.He measures 17 at the shoulder and weighs 44 lbs.He has a strong upper body and lean waist line.A quick agile dog, he points and flushes well. His favorite thing to do is help the resident dogs chase all birds off the pond and patrol the fence line. He loves to swim and will retrieve anything that is thrown into the water or on the ground. His large mouth makes it easy for him to carry many toys in it at one time.He has a curious way about him that makes him so lovable to be around. Fostering him has been easy as he is such a fast learner he house trained in less than 2 days. He entertains himself inside and outside with his Kong Wubba, doggy football and basketball and is always ready for a car journey. Marcus can be trusted indoors and has free range in his foster home. He has been kennel trained but he now sleeps on his dog bed through the night. If you work from home Marcus will be under your desk, if you work outside in the yard Marcus will be with you watching you and waiting for you to take a break so he can come over and get his ears scratched. He favors men over woman and could be called a man’s man dog.Marcus could be an only dog in your home or with other dogs.He has only been around cats briefly so that still needs to be tested. He walks well with a leash but his energy level is high so regular trips to a dog park, playing fetch or any other energy burning activity with him will make evenings in your home more peaceful. He knows basic commands and comes to his name but a fenced in yard is a must. He has a silky smooth coat that needs minimum grooming, a real wash and wear type dog. His markings are a beautiful dark orange with the whitest of white chest and shoulders. He has not had any exposure to children, but since he has robust energy we would like to see him go to a home with children over 10 years old.
