Have you ever met a “proper lady Brittany” ? Well, I think I found her…her name is Maddie and she is 4 yrs old and is the opposite of her BFF Gus that I am also fostering.

Maddie came in With Gus and though 2 yrs apart…..they seem very much besties as they do pretty much all things together….the difference is Maddies deamenour ….she is calmer, more composed, if she could drink tea, her pinky would be up. Maddie is very independent and strong willed. Maddie HATES the crate, where Gus welcomes it…Maddie is extremely well behaved in the house and does not require crating. If you try, her strong will comes into play.

Maddie has a very soft mouth as well….she and Gus work my 1 acre from 5:00 am till breakfast and back at it until dusk. We are feeding Maddie 2 cups twice a day because of her activity level and she is just starting to fill out. When it comes to Cats…that’s a definite NO! We took her to our vet to cat test her….they brought out a friendly cat….she wanted it gone. For sure, no cats.

When nightfall finally arrives, Maddie just loves to snuggle into your chest and let you watch TV or play your favorite video game. I think she would crawl iniside if she could, just to be closer to your heart. At night, Maddie sleeps right next to Gus on the couch. She rarely gets on the bed.

Maddie just recently learned to “sit” for her cookies….her stubborness was shining through on that trick, but she finally gave in and said “okay”

Maddie will need to go to a home with another dog or two. Though not a full on playful Brittany….she does love the company of another dog and will engage in play fromt time to time. NOW If you were in the market for TWO…like a fine wine, may I suggest Gus since they have been together from the start and compliment each other every day.

HISTORY:

Maddie came in with her BFF, Gus. Their owner died and they were taken to a shelter. We don’t have much more information then that.
