Adopted!!!
Lucas is a very well behaved boy.He will take as much love and cuddling as
you want to share. He was very quick to
learn the rules of his foster home, though he is disappointed he is not allowed
on the furniture.Instead, he sits or lies at my feet and waits
to be rubbed. He was raised with cats and does OK with them.He has been slow to warm up to his foster
brother and keeps 1-2 feet away from him.On a walk there are no issues. They
bump and jostle in order to investigate every scent in the air or on the ground. He doesn’t pull too much, unless he is chasing
a chipmunk.We walk 4-5 miles and he
would walk more if only I would stick with it.He does not do well around small children but older
kids would be fine.He likes to ride in
the car.He is patient when I am removing
burrs from his fur or trimming his nails. He is a quiet guy and hardly barks at all.He was trained with an in-ground radio
fence.I was told Lucas was not crate trained so we
have been working on it and he is coming along fine.He like his treats, so that makes training
easy. When he first arrived he would
jump on me or stand to reach the counter but I haven’t seen that behavior
recently. Lucas is a sweetheart and will be wonderful companion
in the right home.We are not
entertaining sight unseen adoptions for this boy.We feel it is important for all family
members (human and canine) meet before anything is decided.Lucas is an owner surrender to our rescue. He was uneasy around the small children in
his household. His family felt it best
to find another home for him.Lucas is
neutered, micro chipped, vaccinations updated, is heartworm tested negative and on heartworm preventative.
