will not be transporting Louis because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bonjour! My name is Louis (pronounced
French “Lou-ee”) since I came from Louisiana and before that they just called
me “Pup”. I’ve had some life changes
ending up in an animal shelter, then two airplane rides, and now my ABR foster
home! I have dog siblings here and have
lived with cats. I love people most of
all, playing with my Brittany foster brother, and run really really fast with
my tail always wagging! But I settle down nicely, I’m a champion cuddler, and
sleep in my crate at night and for naps, even though I like getting up on the
bed and couch too. I had a great time on
vacation with my foster family camping in the mountains and was a great RV
passenger, although I did really get a kick running through the lake after
birds. I’m looking for a forever family
that will love me back, enjoy exercise and snuggling up together.
Foster
family here: Louis is a real gem. This youngster has sailed through all the
transitions and is an easygoing boy.
Louis’s owner passed away and he was surrendered to a small rural shelter
along with 5 cats. A wonderful local
rescue team and volunteer pilots donated their time and efforts to move Louis
to the safety of rescue. Louis weighs
around 36 pounds and resembles a Brittany/Pointer mix with handsome orange roan
shorter coat and a constantly wagging tail.
He enjoys playing with his Britt foster brother and is respectful of his
Cocker Spaniel sister. Louis will do
great with an active family to spend time with and could have another pup as a
playmate or as an only dog. He’s an
energetic bouncy guy so would be better suited for a home with older kids. Louis is an excellent travel companion by
car, plane, and RV for fun adventures with his own forever family! Louis is neutered, current on vaccinations and
heartworm/flea-tick preventives and microchipped. If you might be interested in adding an
adorable companion to your home, please submit the ABR Adoption Application and
mention Louis.
