Meet Louie! A wonderful 4 year old loving and sweet boy! Louie is great with people in general and kids. Louie is very happy to meet new people and normally greets them at the door with his tail wagging like crazy.Louie loves to run and explore but has not been used as a hunter though though we have seen him chasing the birds and squirrels, etc. that he sees at our home. Louie is not gun shy or afraid of loud noises! Even fireworks and thunderstorms do not phase him one bit. Louie has had obedience training and follows basic commands. However, he has no recall or leash training so a fenced yard is a MUST. Louie does very well within our 4 foot chain link fence. When going for a walk though, Louie pulls very hard on the leash so we would recommend the use of a head halter (Gentle Leader) and/or a harness to start out with. Louie is housetrained and is a master at using the doggy door. Otherwise, he will let you know when he wants out. Louie is a well loved dog and VERY sweet and quite calm for a Brittany. Louie does like to run and play, but he is also quite content to snuggle with his humans on the couch and be petted. If you stop though, Louie will nudge you to let you know he wants more.and more and more! Louie likes to play tug of war, chew on Nylabones and will sometimes plays with his toys but watch out for the cute stuffed toys, he’s a master at destuffing them in minutes!Louie’s perfect home will be one with another dog or two that are his size or smaller. Larger dogs will not go over well with Louie. An active home life that will include him as part of their daily lives would be perfect for him!If you are interested in adopting Louie, please complete the online application and mention his name and ID #. Louie is UTD on his vaccines and is H/W negative and on preventative. Louie was surrendered to our rescue because the family brought home a Great Dane and for awhile, everything was going well, until the Great Dane grew up and intimidated /scared Louie to the point he became defense. So ABR was contacted to take him in.
