Adopted!!!

Lightning came to ABR from a foster home in Twain Harte, CA. He had been given up 2 months previously when his owner passed away. He’s UKC registered as a Epagneul Breton (French Brittany) and was raised as a hunting dog. These days he spends more time sleeping but gets excited for short walks on leash. He’s of sturdy build, weighing in at 61 lbs, which the Vet deems appropriate.Lightning’s Vet visit got him up to date on vaccines, heart worm injection and Bravecto. He was treated for an ear infection. He is still intact. His x-rays showed chronic hip dysplasia with arthritis. Because of that he walks with a swinging gait and he’s unable to jump up on the furniture. His hearing is limited but he does respond to hand signals.Lightning has a sweet disposition and is friendly to all. His prior foster family had four other dogs and he got along with all of them. He is also well behaved around my young grandchildren.Lightning would make a great companion for someone working from home or a less active person, since he doesn’t require more than 1 or 2 short walks a day.
