Dog Story Lady is a 35 pound 2 year old female, she is an outside dog with her current owners, but I am sure she could get quite accustomed to being a spoiled rotten house pet! She loves attention and will sit your lap some loving. She is active in the yard and she sometimes will dig, but that may be partly due to not getting enough attention. She has been to hunting and obedience school but she is gun shy and does not hunt. She is well behaved, does not jump on people and walks well on a leash. She does love to run, so we do not let her off the leash while walking. We have a large backyard where she can run and play with our grown children’s dogs. She will kennel up when told, and we kennel her in a 15×30 ft outside kennel at times, such as entertaining a group of people, or mowing the yard. She is quiet, does not bark, whine or howl. Lady loves to take rides in the back of the pickup and go for walks. She plays well with other dogs, but does chase cats. Lady is being surrendered because she does not hunt and we do not have time to spend with her. Our grown children are taking their dogs with them soon, so she would be alone without other dogs to keep her company and play with. We do not feel it is fair for her to spend so much time alone in the backyard without much attention or companionship. We chose to surrender her through the Brittany rescue group because we wanted her to go to a loving home, not just to anyone willing to take a free dog or to the pound. If you would like to adopt Lady please fill out our adoption application and note Lady! Lady is an owner surrender because owners do not have time to spend with her.
