Dog Story: Are you an active, outdoorsy human in search of an active and outdoorsy Brittany? Koda may be the companion for you! Koda is no couch potato. She has a lot on her mind about how to live life to the fullest, and her top priority is being outsideendeavoring to do what Brittanys were bred to do. Koda, now four years old and a lithe 30 pounds, has boundless energy but is not a terror inside the house. She’s housebroken, crate-trained, is super-duper sweet and gets along well with other dogs. She is loving but not needy. Shesettles down well inside providing heroutdoor exercise needs are met. It is not known whether she gets along with cats. We all know how smart Brittanys are, and Koda is no exception. Upon arriving at her foster home Saturday, May 19, Koda began training in how to heel, wait, etc., and is catching on wonderfully. Agreat fit for Koda would be a loving and strong owner who will take the time to continue her education so that she can live up to her potential. Koda was surrendered to ABR by a wonderful, caring family with two very young children who love her but realized that Koda needs more out of life than they are able to provide for her. We are grateful for their trust in ABR to find Koda the very best home where she can thrive and we can all smile and say, We always knew she was destined for greatness! Update 6-3-12 Koda has been with us over two weeks now, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She is definitely good with cats! She loves squeaky toys and Nylabones. Koda’s leash-walking training is going beautifully. She does well with the Gentle Leader. Also, I’ve begun taking her for some more brisk exercise by having her trot alongside my bicycle, and that is fun too. She enjoys meeting new people and is just an all-around happy-go-lucky and sweet-as-can-be dog!
