Dog Story: Koa is a beautiful Brittany puppy with all of the puppy energy and mischievousness that a whole Brittany litter can have. He is very, very smart, loves to play with other dogs, loves his humans – adults and children, men or women, and loves his treats! He gets along with everyone, humans, dogs, children (large and small) and even cats! Koa is easily bored and can tend to be naughty, when he is bored. He has been known to dig, chew, and climb fences to get out of his yard to play. When he is well exercised and his mind is kept challenged, he is a very sweet boy. He loves to go on walks, ride in the car, run, and of course, play, play, play. Koa has a very good nose and is interested in anything that moves. He is a puppy, so his hunting instincts are still raw, but if trained he could be a dynamo in the field. Koa could also be a wonderful agility competitor. His raw energy could be corralled if directed towards positive activities. He would love to be a running companion, or could be trained to run alongside a bicycle. Koa does have separation anxiety, and will not be well suited to a home where he is left alone for long periods of time during the day. Koa also has so much energy that a human will have a tough time keeping him well exercised, therefore we believe he will do well with another dog or even two in the household. If you think Koa is the right dog for your family please fill out the online adoption applicationand mention Koa. Dog History Koa came to ABR as an owner surrender. His family just could not keep up with Koa’s required activity level, and found he was taking himself out for playtime without them one too many times. They feared Koa would be hit by a car and made the difficult decision to rehome him.
