Dog Story: I want to introduce you to Kayden, a sweet Brittany who has come such a long way since coming into rescue back in February. You see, Kayden came from a breeder in NE who wasn’t able to sell him and his siblings when they were just puppies. They continued to grow without interest. Because they were not keeping them, they did not have human contact like we are used to giving, only to feed and clean their kennels. Now he is two years old and didn’t have a name, a collar or leash experience. When Kayden arrived, he was beyond frightened. He would do whatever he could to stay out of sight of our family. He actually got away from us 4 different times with the last time being an eye opener for him. We put him on anxiety meds and from that day forward, things started improving for sweet Kayden. KAYDEN here! I just want everyone to know how much I love life now. My foster family never gave up on me and continued to show unconditional love even when I was being real stubborn. I now love ear rubs, snuggling on the couch, meal times which I am NEVER late for anymore!! I love that I have a crate I can sleep in with a soft pillow. I do love to be outside to explore the land around me. Never knew what a rabbit was, or ponds with fish, even fields with tall grass. There is so much to see and do now. I even enjoy being around the other Brittanys as well as the cat. I’m told I am ready to move on to a new home so here is my wish list: One that has a fenced yard (so I don’t get lost) a home with at least one other dog who I can look to for confidence when I need it and a loving family to tie it all together and make me feel as good as I feel now. Kayden is up to date on is vaccines, heartworm negative and on preventative. Kayden will need to be in a home that understand the Breed and will be patient with him.
