You couldn’t ask for a sweeter Brittany than Jo Jo! Perfect size, perfect house manners, and just a beautiful girl. Foster mom is pretty smitten. She is the perfect example of age is just a number.

Miss Jo Jo came from a rough situation and is a work in progress. It has taken her weeks to become semi comfortable with men she sees daily. Just recently she has allowed Foster Dad to pet her. She has a definite fear of males (adult and children). We’ve experimented with a number of methods to ease her anxiety and found a Thunder Shirt works well. Surprisingly, while she is not found of storms, she tolerates them well. Loud noises, voices and sudden movements can make her anxious. We describe it like the movie “Fifty First Dates”. What she was comfortable with yesterday may not be the same today. It’s a process.

This gal has excellent house manners and is not crated when unsupervised. She has slept on a dog bed in our room since day one. She doesn’t counter surf, has not had an accident. Jo Jo has tolerated a bath and nail trim. She is excellent about having to go out or most important; dinner time! Jo Jo LOVES the backyard. Watching and chasing wild life is one of her favorite activities. She has a strong prey drive so we are not sure how she would deal with cats.

Jo Jo needs a home where she can work off that Brittany energy. A fenced yard to run, a secure fence (she is a definite fight risk), lots of people time for pets and encouragement. Jo Jo came from a household with other Britts so perhaps another canine companion would help build her confidence. We believe with patience, love and time she will be a wonderful family member. Given her anxious personality, we are not considering sight unseen or long distance adoptions. It is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure we have a good match.

Jo Jo came from an rough situation. She has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, HW tested negative, on preventative and has been micro chipped. She is waiting for forever family.
