Dog Story: Hello there! I’m John. I am a lively energetic young pup and a very loving Brittany. I love to run and dream of a fenced forever home with someone who loves running as much as I do! I am a diamond in the rough for sure and will need a human that will be dedicated to my training and one with some patience as I am one busy boy! I get along well with other Britts and larger dogs who like to play but don’t care for the yappy little fur kids. I am an outdoorsy kind of guy and would stay out all day and night if possible. I love my toys and will joyfully toss and wrestle with them during the day. If I get bored I have been known to get into things I shouldn’t and that makes my foster mom mad sometimes. To get back on her good side I snuggle up and try to redeem myself. I will definitely need a canine companion who is well mannered in my new home as you see I hate the crate and have broken out many times so that is not an option. When my foster home has to leave I am sequestered to the spare room with their Brittany and on most days I do fine. I have been working with a local trainer as it seems I didn’t receive any training or much attention prior to coming into rescue. You see my brother and I were left in an outside kennel run so I have lots to learn and am making some good progress. John and his brother Wayne were surrendered to a high kill shelter in North Carolina by their owner. John was heartworm positive and has finished his treatment and is in excellent health! He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
