Dog Story: Joey is a handsome 14 month old boy, both of his parents were show champions. He knows some basic obedience such as sit, down and leave it but needs work with his recalls and walking on leash. He has started clicker training and is very motivated by food and toys. Joey is an active boy but will settle down nicely. He could use some confidence building since he hasn’t been outside of the kennel environment very much and tends to be cautious of new things. He loves to be with people and would be good with older children since he is on the bigger side and is not used to being around young children. Joey is clean in the kennel so he should transition to a home environment fairly easy. He is very good in the crate but since he is still young he would benefit with a fenced in yard or active owners. He’s never really been alone (without dogs or people around) so being alone for longs periods of time may be difficult for him. He gets along with another male at the kennel, but would do best with another female. We are looking for a physically fenced yard for this youngster! History: Joey is an owner surrender. He is a bit too large for the show ring but would make a wonderful pet. He was previously placed with a retired couple but proved to be too much for the wife to handle. He wasn’t getting enough exercise and started acting out so now he is looking for his forever home! If you are interested in adopting Joey please fill out our adoption application and note Joey.
